Bottle, thx to Tarjei. Pours a clear, copper body under a minimal beige head. Quite bready maltyness with some fruity hops in the aroma. Bready, toffeeish flavor with some fruity hops leaving just a little bitterness. Medium to full body. Toffeeish and bready finish. A quite nice beer, but I would like more emphasis on the hops. Both hoppy flavors and bitterness could be higher I think. (080731)

Bottle, Barleycorns, Nantwich. Poured a dark orange colour with a thin off white head. Malty, caramel aroma. Some hop in the flavour and yet more malt. Dryish finish. Pretty unspectacular, but drinkable.

500ml bottle shared with Jim. Goes down very easily, nothing bad about it, but otherwise entirely unmemorable - possibly a good session beer?

Jorvik ale in a pure stylish 500ml bottle. Brownish-golden in colour. Rocky head with nice bubbles. Pleasant hoppy aroma. Barley and dark fruit flavours ending in a bitter aftertaste. Rather thin body (shared with Finn, 26.07.2006).

An amber beer with a nice brown head. The aroma is sweet though with hints of sourness as well as notes of caramel. The flavor is dry hoppy with notes of roasted malt. A beer with a fine balance.
