Re-rating. Pours again amber with lacy head. The has more obvious pine and a backgound cake mixture. The taste has more of the fruitiness, maybe going into ginger-nut biscuits. The palate is medium, the texture is very creamy and there is a fairly refreshing finish. Overall, this is a lovely beer with great balance. Original Rating 28/03/11. 5/3/6/3/12 33cl bottle. Pours an amber ale (as expected) with a good lacey head which hangs around for a bit. The nose has biscuits, some caramel and a touch of ginger spice. More ginger biscuits on the taste. The palate is medium bodied, good texture and a sufficiently bitter finish to clean away the aforementioned ginger biscuit taste. Overall, a good beer - happy to drink several.

330ml bottle bought at Vino Wines Grange Loan in Edinburgh. Clear copper coloured body. Off-white head that stays well. Smell of toffee-like malts. The taste character is a blend of honed malts, almond and plums, with emphasis on the malty part. Rounded bitter tail (hotel room, 30.11.2010).
