A tribute to the glorious American hop Chinook, Embra is a classic full bodied amber beer with powerful aromas of earthy fruits. Malt and caramel flavours help to balance a full, yet soft bitterness.

Bottled (backlog). Redish amber colour with a small head. Aroma is quite fruity and floral with caramel as well. Also some mild butter scotch notes. Flavour is fruity, caramelly, floral, caramelly and mild diacetylic notes to it. Infected, but still not totally horrible.

Keg at the Vintage. A bit too cold and fizzy for me. Sweet, malty toffee taste.

Bottle from the brewery. Hazy amber body with a thin off-white head. Lively carbonation. Nice lacing. Mild aroma of roasted malt and grass. Flavour of caramel, grass and earth. Thin body with a watery texture. Light fizz. Uninspiring and quite weak flavoured.

330ml bottle from the brewery. Pours amber with a decent white head. Toffee aromas, alongside light pine hops. Caramel sweetness on the taste, light on bitterness. Slips down very easily.

330ml bottle. Pours a hazy orangey amber colour, frothy off-white head leaving alittle lacing, and a malt caramel, fruity & hoppy aroma. Taste is tangy sweetish malty, with a fruity hop note and some lingering earthy bitterness. Slightly watery mouth feel, light to medium bodied, medium carbonation, dry finish. OK.

Dark amber bronze...clear...frothy white head..reasonable lacing...Aroma of fruit...red berries...bit of strawberry(!)...sweet malts...Taste of citrus hops..some bitter hops....red berries...plenty of caramel malts....good malty backbone flavour....Palate had medium carb...medium body....citrusy tang over the palate with some hop bitterness....Finish has some residual bitterness that eventually clears

Bottle at the Croydon Beer Tasting. Pours clearish amber with a foamy, white head. Bit of sugary malts and honey on the nose. Sweetish flavor, some sweet bread, toast, light pine and brown sugar. Medium in body with fine carbonation. Balanced finish, some light earthy bitterness, mild pine and toasty malts. Very easy but engaging beer. Solid.

Scopeys East Croydon tasting - Cheers Paul! Slightly haxy amber beer. Good fluffy cream coloured amber head. Light semi dry palate. Mild malt and mild hops in very good balance. Inoffensive and drinkable.

Bottle at my Croydon Beer tasting. It pours red-amber, with a thin foamy beige head and low carbonation. The nose is wood, toffee, brown bread and earth. The taste is wood, astringent, hay, brown bread, grass metal, toast and toffee, with a woody-bitter finish. Itβs nothing special, but not the worst amber ale out there.
