Handbottled from Gazza who brought this along to share with Fin & Loz 18.08.11 Real earthiness from the off with this one, malty with chocolate, but with the addition of some soft cooked preserved lemons and a goodly lacing of cocoa powder. This is marvellous and considering it’s a little older than the others according to Gazza it’s held up extremely well. there is grapefruit with some pithiness, its quite soft in the mouth, it’s a belter of a beer. I just needed my new record player in place in order that I could have had Andrew Eldritch and Patricia Morrison aka The Sisters of Mercy belting out the song that this is named after.Much like Kernel it has to be said, Steel City’s greatest attribute is their consistency, another corker.
