This French farmhouse-style ale has tart fruitiness from the yeast and a sweet maltiness from the grains. A modern re-creation of a classic European beer style to celebrate St. Louis’s French heritage. Pairs well with fruits, cheeses, and cured meats.

750 mL bottle. Design on the bottle is pretty cool... Pour is a darkish amber with a pretty massive two or three finger head of dense foam. Aromas of wild yeast, spice and light hops that cover a bread dough and earth malt body. The flavor is dominated by the bread dough malt presence and the tart yeast notes and the spices that were present in the nose are not well developed and almost undetectable at this stage. I’d love to see if these come out as it ages, but doubt I’ll get the chance.

Bomber bottle. Pour is a cloudy orange with a average white head. Aroma is very fruity and yeastey with some barnyard funk. Flavor is a bit watery but the hops come out tfirst to greet you and that leaves a nice bitterness on the tounge. Some of the yeast and malts are there but nothing to make a noticable difference. Slightly above average for the style but its pointing in the right direction.
