Bottled@vPBF2012. Yellowish colour with a small white head. Aroma is citrus, some herbs and mild soapy notes. Flavour is very much the same. Pleasantly balanced.

65 cl bottle @ vPBF, BBE 01/2013
Aroma feels like a pommac. It is sweetish with ripe apples, cactus, some nettles and hints of grainy malt. Flavour is sweetish and somewhat tart – feels like a lemonade. It has lemon, some lime and ginger. A radler where the lemonade dominates. Hard to rate as a beer – as a lemonade this would be good.

Bottled 0,66ltr (vPBF, BB 01/2013)
Clear golden color, small white head. Strange sweet nettles aroma. Just after opening skunky. LIght-bodied. Lemonade flavor, odd herbal and sweetness. Acidic berryness. Alcopop.

660ml bottle @ vPBF
br> Pours light clear yellow with a small bubbly head. Strong aroma of lime, spices and cactus notes. Tastes more like a soda pop with some spicy lime notes. Finish is metallic with notes of starch. Not very tasty.

A big bottle from a Carrefour, shared with heavy. Golden body, medium sized thick white head. Herbal lemon/lime nose. Herbal lemony taste, light, sweet, fruity and a bit tangy. Not all that beery bit had far worse beverages before and after it.

11/10 0.65 l bottle from a big Carrefour in Cannes. It poured golden body with medium sized head that dissapeared soon. Sweetish sugary lemony aroma, completely artificial, with minor sharp tequila note. Sweetish flavor of artificial lemony sweetener, slight tequila, pretty thin body with short, pretty bad finish... This thing is drinkable and it’s not offensive if you take it like a juice, but hey, does is have any beer inside?

Re-rate about 11 years later. I couldn't remember if I had this version so picked it up at a random supermarket in Sint Maarten a few months ago and let it age gracefully in my wine cellar since then. It pours with weak foam and a rather fake looking clear golden hue. The aroma is all sugariness and some rancid cabbage. Flavour is sweet cabbage, more sugar, vague hints of tequila but I can't be sure. Mouthfeel is overbearing cloying sugariness. Yes, it's still as bad as I remember it. July 03, 2009 - Taking this back from the supermarché I thought it was the real Desperados, but instead turns out to be its retarded brother the Desperados Mas! Uh oh, more fruity pop-drinks, I thought. Looks like a very artificial beer with an artifical head that is close to pop fizz. Smells like lime soda with a hint of skunkiness. Taste is a smooth mix of lime and water. Kind of like a lime cooler. I guess it’s okay when you want alcoholized lime pop. I don’t. 1 1 1 1 3 = 0.7
