Clear golden with a tiny white head. Sweet aroma with phenolic and alcohol notes. Flavour had harsh alcohol and hints of malt. Finished boozy.

Bottled. A golden beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has notes of malt, straw, and a bit of caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of cardboard, malt, straw, and alcohol, leading to a dry alcoholic finish.

Bottle, 6%. Clear golden colour. Small stable white head. The flavour is mildly malty, not very bitter. Has a little spicy note, seems to come from the hops. A bit subdued, but not bad.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Clear golden with a white head. Aroma of brewing cereal. Medium body, rather sweet malts and brewing cereal - perhaps a little caramel even. Sulphurous and crude finish. 190210

Bottled (as Meisterbräu Luxusbier at 6.0%). Thanks Bov! Yellow colour with small white head. Very strong aroma of malts and hay/grass (something in between). Flavour is raw vegetables along with malts and slight hops. Mouthdrying... makes you want more to drink, not necessarily of the same though...

Pretty aged sample Clear gold with amber shine; poor cream-coloured head. Very malty, candy, dry malt, touch mouldy nose. Malt taste, nutty, burnt cheap cooking brandy, some wet plywood finish, very sweet. Burning MF, empty texture. In die Beschränkung zeigt sich der Meister He ought to have used less brandy and less heat.

Calanda Meisterbräu Luxusbier, 6% ABV
Blond color; nice head, but the perlage is absent, as often for Calanda. Very simple aroma, with a light character of Strong Lager (alcohol and candies fruitness). The mouthfeel is a bit oily, the alcohol is too evident; poor characterisitcs.
