Canned. Poured Amber Ed brown. Malty and some light hops. Pretty well executed.

Ever so slightly hazy copper and bronze coloured body with a very fast-dying, just off-white head that fades quickly and leaves just about nothing after a few seconds. Aroma of metal, malt, caramelised sugars, toffee, light apples and pears with a hint of spice, but some more treacle and raisins at the end - quite nice and still mild. Medium-bodied; Strong rich malty and nutty flavours show through with a smooth, but pungent body with some light medicinal and metallic, earthy and rustic bite. Aftertaste shows some deeper malts, quite a bit of sweetness from caramelised sugars and toffee with a slight rustic and dry note with a good deal of bitterness from malts with a light hit of hops towards the finish. Overall, a nice and crisp, quite malty beer with some slight medicinal, grassy and herbal flavours with a dash of sweetness near the end and a healthy bit of sweetness from the toffee and treacle. A good beer and one for when it gets slightly chilly here for Winter. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Total Wine in Alexandria, Virginia on 02-November-2020 for US$4,49 sampled at my house here in Washington on 13-January-2021.

Draft pour at Matchbox Vintage Pizza Bistro Mosaic. Poured a very slightly hazy, but mostly clear, amber color without much of a head to speak of. Super malty, some light earthy notes, but not overly aromatic one way or the other with the hops. Sweet, light grassy and crisp notes.
