Extra special bitter style, red amber color, brewed with barley malt, water, hop and yeast, it's an “ale” which is itself an expression of a perfect balance between special malts that characterize it with dried fruity notes, which give off nutty, caramel fudge and toffee, by a careful use of herbal and citrus hops notes. Dry at the mouth, medium bodied, flows nicely and leaves the characteristic bitterness of the hop. Excellent with cold cuts and cheeses of medium maturity, and with the typical Mediterranean dishes, red roasted meats and grilled or wild vegetables.

Slightly hazy caramel copper coloured body with a thinnish tan head. Aroma of fresh hops, caramel, sugars, malt and a slight bit of grass. Medium-bodied; Assertive toasted malt flavours, alcohol, toffee and pitted fruits and a bit of hops at the end. Aftertaste shows mostly mild flavours - more of malt than of hops and more of drying than sugars. Overall, a decent beer, but I couldn’t figure out the style from drinking it - a decent beer to have, but I wish I brought another bottle back instead of this one! I sampled this 75 cL bottle purchased from A Tutta Birra in Milano, Italy on 12-November-2009 for €11 sampled at home in Washington (on this side of the pond) on 05-June-2010.

Bottled. A hazy red-amber beer with an orangey head. The aroma has notes of over ripe fruits, malt, and alcohol. The flavor has notes of over ripe fruits, caramel, alcohol, and malt, leading to a dry spicy finish. Thanks fonefan for sharing.

Draught at IBF 2009, Milan
Hazy amber color; creamy head. Good hoppy aroma, a bit fruity, but strangely dusty and earthy. Medium body, light sweetness, caramel flavor, some nice hop traces, a bit vegetable, not as bitter as expected. Good.
