En mørk kraftig ale med tilpas bitterhed.
En fyldig smag af den mørkristede malt, som vil gå godt til lam, vildt og en bred variation af kraftige oste.

Bottle. A reddish dark brown beer topped by a finger-thick, dense, tan head. Slightly sourish aroma with cocoa, coffee and some vegetables. Dry, nicely carbonated, medium body with roasted malts and some sweet fruityness. Grainy finish with bitterness and some cocoa and roasted malts. A decent one, far from impressing. 100414

Huge, dark-beige head over fully opaque, near-black beer. End of bottle solid yeast. Perfumed-chocolatey nose, then typically roasted stout notes, with scorched grains, human sweat, meaty esters. Slightly acidic-lined, burnt & roasted malts’ nose, Haagse Hopjes, coffeesweets, dark (but not very bitter) chocolate. Burnt potatoes with a hint of vinegar, and finishing with an unexpected deep-frying oil, sweeter flavour. Well-bodied, near viscous impression, very slick. There’s better stout around. Thanks to fonefan!
