33 cL bottle. Pours black with lacing creamy brown head. Cane sugarish sweet molasses. Slight whiff of smoke and sweet with a minor woodish note. Liqourice smoothness and a slight edge in the finish. Ends sweet and malty. Nice and slight different from other hvidtøls.

(Bottle 33 cl) Pitch black, small, light brown head. Licorice added giving this a rather sophisticated touch considering it’s just a cheap table beer. Delicious roasted flavours, malty and sweet but never cloying. Nice one. 080600

Bottle. Very dark brown colour, big light brown head. Roasted, malty aroma. Malty flavour with a lot of brown sugar taste. Too sweet for me.

A pitch black beer with a fine light brown head. The aroma is very complex both sweet and sour with notes of liqurice - the sour notes probably comes from the brewing cereal used for it. The flavor is very sweet at first then turns to liqurice and disappears quite fast. It also contains an undeterminable sting. Fortunately the sourness from the brewing cereal is almost dominated by the sweetness and liqurice to make it a drinkable beer - but it is far from being as good as other Christmas hvidtøl.
