"Brett" refers to the yeast strain primarily responsible for the fermentation of this beer - it's short for Brettanomyces. Brett has the ability to contribute unique flavor and aroma compounds like straw, barnyard, and stone fruits. It's iconic for its use in tart Belgian beers, but is often found in American versions of Belgian Saisons, called Farmhouse Ales. The beer itself is light golden, brilliantly clear, and very effervescent. It's also bone dry, thanks to Brett's robust fermentation ability. Aromas of bubblegum, pineapple, hay, and pear combine to create a truly one of a kind beer experience.
