Unser Starkbier.

(16.11.2019.)

500ml Bottle - Amber in colour. Honey, grain and notes of wood and sap in the aroma. Malty and moderately sweet taste with notes of honey, grain and golden syrup. Inoffensive and fairly easy to drink.

The beer starts grainy with a caramel dry body. Refreshing, mild and grainy. Not much bitterness in the end, caramelly dry grainy.

Bottled 500ml (BZ)
Clear amber color, small white head. Very sweet, ryeish malty aroma. Medium-bodied. Quite sweet flavor with harsh, grainy-ryeish kind of taste. Behind sweetness some alcohol. Grassy-hoppy, sweet and harsh bock is not something what I prefer.

On tap @Buskers Pub (Rome). Clear amber ale with a medium foam. Aroma of malt, bread, cereal, hops (grass). earthy, nice! Flavour is well balanced, biscuits, bread, caramel, alcohol, some bitterness in the end. Medium body, medium carbonation. A nice beer!

Bottled (from bierzwerg.de). Pale amber colour, small off-white head. Aroma is caramel malts, some floral and grassy notes along with quite a big eartiness. Flavour is quite herbal, with some earthy, quite bready and grainy (but still sweetish) malty notes. Actually this one was quite good, but as it got closer to room temperature there was some eather dry wooden notes kicking in, which made the beer feel a bit out of balance.

Bottle at the brewery. Clear dark brown lasting ivory head. Some malt on the aroma. Not as heavy as some bocks. Malty some fruit a bit watery in mouth. Ok. Alcohol doesn’t come through. Ok. Some sting on the finish.

500ml bottle. Clear dark golden colour with small, frothy, diminishing, white head. Unspecific malty aroma with fruity hints of apple. Taste is minimally sweet fruity with an wooden apple note, also a dry touch of apple parings; flat carbonation, insipid character.
