For ten years now, Jean-Bernard Guyot has offered his Christmas beer, which he offers in part to his most loyal customers, in the purest tradition of Christmas beers.
Under its rather thick head, this beer has a beautiful copper color. On the nose, hints of spices and roasted malts come up. On the palate, liquorice and juniper dominate. Subtle notes of cardamom, coriander as well as sweet and bitter orange, which enter into its composition, also emerge.

bottle from Maison de la Bière Reims. Hazy amber-rown colour witth a golden glow, creamy off-white to beige head. Hoppy aroma with some dark malts in the nose. Full-bodied, malty with caramel, dark chocolate and espresso coffee, also some spices and hints of dried fruit. Resiny and earthy hops round this off perfectly. Delicious!

Pours with a nice hazy amber-brown colour and fluffy head, though there’s not enough yeast (it seems) to keep it up in the air for long enough. Great aromatic bouquet of hops, grass, citrus, and slight hints of caramel. Taste is like sour iced tea - lots of hops, lambic-type feel going on here, lemon taste. Palate is too watery, should be thicker. For a Bière de Garde it’s unique, a good mixture of things going on, but I think it needs to be developed a bit more.

Tasting at Papsø’s
Cloudy amber color; creamy head. Fizzy magnesia aroma, light caramel. Simple caramel flavor with a light sourness that is more than suspicious. Another flawed beer.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Pours a cloudy amber with an extremely lively beige head shaving foam style. Tart, fruity nose. Medium body, sweetish malty and fruity with a vague underlying tartness. Some brown sugar also. Lightly tart finish. 110110
