Blend of Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout and Sour Red Ale
Bottle Release 12/23 - $17/500 mL
When blending, we identify barrels that are delicious, but that don’t fit with the rest of the batch. When we compile enough of these we sit down to blend, talk, and try to put order to the chaos. Each version will be a completely different beer, unique, and impossible to recreate.
#2 is a blend of sour red ale aged in Pinot Noir barrels for 20 months and a stout aged in Double Oak Bourbon barrels for 9 months. The sweetness from the stout balances the assertive acidity from the red. Roast and red fruit mingle into a... sour stout or is it a Flanders black?

Dark black body medium foamy tan head. Roast vinegar chocolate fruit aroma. Fruit toffee chocolate balsamic flavor. Medium body moderate carbonation. 8/4/8/4/15 3.9
