Bottle. Pretty average lager/pilsner. This one might be a bit more malty in both flavor and aroma.

Bottled (4.7%). Pale golden colour, not much head. Malts and hops in aroma, with also something which makes it very unclean, almost urineish hints. Papery and dry malty flavour with some unclean hops in aftertaste. Strong metallic notes.

Bottled. (4.7% ABV) Pale golden with a decent white head. Cooked vegetables, malt and hops in the aroma. Malty and slightly bitter flavor. Moderate hoppy finish, along with some metallic notes. Despite all this, it is probably the best beer available in Norwegian Lidl stores. (060228)

500 ml bottle with twist-off cap, bought at LIDL, Norway. ABV here is 4.7%. Pale golden colour, moderate head. Moderate aromatic hops, herbal and flowery notes. Fizzy mouthfeel. The rather dry flavour is dominated by a not very pleasant bitterness of not very good hops, becomes "industrial" and metallic in the finish. Not my favourite pils this one.

(Bottle 50 cl) Neatly pilsener golden with a very small head. Hoppy aroma. Very dry body with marked notes of aroma hops which also leave a decent bitterness. Discount beer from LIDL. 220905

Bottled, alc. 4.7% (BB 05/2003)
Pale lager color, mostly vanishing white head. Not much aroma - slightly plastic. Light-bodied, fresh, malty with hops in the finish. Easy to forget.

!Lidl Stiftung is NOT a brewery, but a german supermarket-chain, operating on European scale. "Jan's beerpages" classify it under Mauritius Brauerei at Zwickau, but offers no proof. ABV does not correspond. German beergroups are in the dark as well. Nose gives much dry Pilsener (pale)malt, and some honey. Colour is typical pale straw, clear Pilsener. Little, white, head. Slightly bitter taste to begin with, hops at first restrained. Malty undertones, quite uninteresting. Dry mouthfeel, even chaff-like. Harsh bitter finish, very unrefined. A poor, cheap Pilsener indeed.
