This ridiculous sour ale was inspired by Sam Calagione’s love for verjus. Underripe Pinot Noir grapes were used to add acidity and a touch of color to the beer before aging in a French Oak foeder for seven months.

750 ml bottle from dbarnold, 8/3/22. Looks like I got this one shortly after the release in April 2019. Pours a lightly cloudy golden color with a small, fizzy head. Wood, must, red wine grape, and a little funk. Notes of spice and citrus as well. Drinks rather tart and a little vinegary. It could probably something to balance it out. Not sure what that would be, but something. Still it's a good beer-wine hybrid thing.
