A dark, rich and layered stout with a wonderful silky texture and a lingering finish. We use a complex mash including roasted barley and oats along with 3 types of malt to give the beer plenty of black coffee and dark chocolate notes that make this stout intense yet approachable.

Weicher, würzig malziger Beginn. Geringe Röstnoten, etwas Schokolade, Hafer, eher geringe Süße. Wenig Kaffee, ziemlich süffig. Zum Ende komplexer mit Nuancen von Holz, etwas Vanille, Weingummi. 10/9/10/10/9/10

23.05.2018 -- 0.33l bottle from bierlinie in berlin, bb 31.03.2018. pours rather black with a frothy brownish head. aroma of coffee, ash, orange, ginger. flavour of coffee, cream, fanta, vanilla. good, but it would have been even better with a fuller body. also a bit too much fanta/oranges.

Bottle from Morrisons. Black body with a medium beige head. Good lacing. Aroma of digestives, earth, chocolate and coffee. Flavour of flat coke and roasted malt. Thin to medium body with a creamy mouthfeel. Soft fizz. Very nice indeed - although the body is just a little thin in my opinion. A good price for a tasty beer.

Bottle from Yamaya shared with me. Malty chocolate aroma. Medium to full bodied, the taste is roasty chocolate. A solid beer up there with the 90 shilling but this one has mild smoke notes. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Sampled at my BJCP exam in Monza, early March. detailed notes were part of the actual exam, so were turned in before the beers were revealed. This rating is from what I wrote down, after the reveal had been made. ¨Pours very black, with a creamy, dense, tanned head. Smell is full, roasty, but not very burnt. Taste is creamy, full, tad sweet, very coffe-with-milk like. Very nice stout that is surprisingly easy to drink. Very pleasant beer.

Bottle from Yamaya. Nose is chocolate, milk, berries, light roast or cafe au lait. Touch of soy sauce as well. Shiny, pitch black with a low tan head. Mildly sweet, dark chocolate, roasted charcoal, coffee, touch of soy. Rich flavor, light fruits as well. Body is somewhat light, almost thin. Roasty, slightly bitter finish. Reasonably good.

Bottled. Deep brown to black colour. Dmall head of beige. Aroma: robust roast, coffee, chocolate, a metallic hint. Medium minus body. Silky palate. The taste has that regular sweet stout sweetness that is not over the top. Roast, dried fruit, chocolate, coffee. Just enough hops to reach balance. It tastes well, no question.
