Imperial Milk Stout w/Lactose, Chocolate & Mint
Hello, lovers of minty confections. Glad tidings, enjoyers of dark chocolate. This one's for your and your refined palate. Brewers (and peppermint bark enthusiasts) Eric Fallon and Alfonso Servey created this recipe on our small batch system last winter, based on a homebrew that utilized bark from that well-known grocer where the clerks wear Hawaiian shirts. You know the one. The chocolate & lactose give this seasonal delight a pronounced richness that's balanced wonderfully by the cool rush of mint. So please, allow yourself to give in to "that time of year." You deserve a little treat -- for having such good taste, of course.

On tap at Stone Escondido, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma is full of fresh mint, followed by cocoa, roasted malt. Flavour is full of bright mint, moderate bitterness, dry cocoa, and medium rise. The mint somehow works wonderfully. Damn. Excellent.

Dark black body medium foamy tan head. Mint chocolate roast aroma. Chocolate mint roast flavor. Medium full body moderate carbonation. 8/5/8/4/16 4.1
