Inspired by the traditional farmhouse ale that has been made in Norway for centuries, using Kveik yeast. Brewed using fresh juniper branches in the mash and a touch of beech smoked malt, this beer's unique flavour comes from two mixed Kveik cultures collected from traditional brewers in Voss and Hornindal, and brought back to New Zealand. Dark malts vie with tart yeast driven complexity and subtle hints of smoke and resin in a beer that can truly claim to be unique.

375ml bottle from Bennyβs place, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a mostly clear copper colour with a thin white head. The aroma is funky yeast. The flavour is moderate sour, with a smooth, somewhat light, dry, tart kveik yeasty, light smoky palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

Bottle. Clear mid brown, a pale beige head fades quite swiftly. Aroma of caught caramel, lemony sour funk, twig, spices. Lovely soft creamy texture over sour, funky and smoked body.Lemon, pine and/or juniper. Hard to say whether it's a little bitter at the end. Very nice - sometimes GP don't succeed out of their bailiwick but they do here.
