Bottled (backlog). Ambery brown colour with a small off-white creamy head, which leaves some lace. Aroma is sweet malts, some spices, mild sugary notes as well as some dried fruits. Flavour is quite similar, but also has some mild grainy and more evident spicy notes. OK, but slightly on the "thin side", even though the quite high abv.

bottle. deep amber, large smooth light brown head. aroma of dark fruits, some spicy bitterness, sugary or syruppy sweetness, sort of mild dark belgian aroma, but with a macro feel to it, and with a strange bitterness. flavor is figs, plums, syrup, some chestnut nutty bitter notes, ends sweet and spicy. While quite tasty i can’t help getting the feeling that what i can taste is spices and syrup, not so much flavors from the brewing process itself. Good macro, but a bit boring if compared to belgians and craft brew. Would probably be good for cooking.

Bottle, 6.5%. Clear chestnut colour. Big stable light brown head. The flavour is roasted and nutty. Hint of sweetness. Only the faintest hint of paper in the finish, but that is actually OK here. 6 3 6 3 13

raught at EsBF09. Clear dark brown colour, red shine. Almost no head. The flavour is malty, not really sugary. Has a bit of spice, the kind you get in some bonbons. 5 3 5 3 14
