(750ml botttle from L'Axe du Malt, Quebec City) Pours hazy yellow-gold with a small whitish head, at least in a plastic cup. Aroma is bright tart eating apples with a whack of lacto citrus acidty, Bretty barnyard funk, moderate barrels, some phenolic saison-type herbalness and neutral woody tones. Flavour is high acidity with tart apple and lactic citrus again leading, slightly high acid wine-like, moderate plus wet mulchy funk, some oak drydown, persistent sour apples into the finish and aftertaste, some funk in the finish too. Light to medium bodied with soft natural carb. Good with bread and cheese/charcuterie, a bit high-acid and unbalanced on its own.
