(On tap @ the brewpub, Toronto, Mar 8/20) Pours nearly opaque dark brown with a small cream coloured head, almost looked like nitro? Aroma is heavy dessert pastry vibes with a big whack of banana, coconut cream, vanilla, burnt malt, some chocolate sauce, toasty nuts. Flavour is extremely sweet with creamy lactose banana ice cream vibes dominating, cocoa powder, chocolate sauce, light toast, finishing quite sweet with big banana lingering and some kind of harsh vibes as it warms. Medium-full creamy smooth mouthfeel with soft carbonation. I see where this is going but in a lot of ways it's too much. I love a good pastry stout but this needs more balance to go with the fun.
