(On tap @ Indie, Sept 28/18) Pours a basically reddish/mahogany colour with a small frothy pale cream head that's stable and leaves lace. Notes of soft to moderate caramel malt sweetness, tart cherries, tannic berry skins, mixed tart dark fruit, astringent wood, light to moderate lactic acidity, bare touch of acetic acid, soft Brett, slightly powdery/mineral character into the finish, which is short and a bit muted though some berry persists. Touch metallic. Lightish body, watery feel, very soft carbonation. I haven't had the original since its first iteration but I preferred it to this, whether it's the added fruit or changed recipe I don't know.
