In a world a world that's full of change, it's good to know that Lucky Beer offers something consistently good natured. Although the distinctive laughing Buddha bottle is central to our brand, Lucky Beer - and the good fortune it shares - transcends all religions, cultural boundaries and beliefs.
In its simplest form, we stand for goodwill for all humanity.
"If you think that enlightenment is separate from the drinking of beer you have not yet understood" Ancient Taoist Saying.
The "Laughing Buddha" depicted on Lucky Buddha beer is actually not THE Buddha and therefore not religious but cultural. He is incorporated in Buddhist, Taoist and Shinto traditions. The term buddha means "one who is awake", connoting one who has awakened into enlightenment.

Bottle sample at a tasting at kerenmk’s place. Thanks Vova. Clear yellow-golden. Grainy aroma with a bit of hay. Flavor has sweetish graininess, and a slightly bitterish finish. Light-bodied. Pretty clean.

At a tasting, thanks, almost no head, clear yellow color, light herbal aroma with some cardboard, light malty honey flavor, quite dry but with a very light sweetness creeping in. Clean but very boring.

Consumed from the bottle at Jenny’s Cafe in SW DC. Thanks to the clear green glass, I can tell this thing is totally pale yellow. Nose is not good, cheap honey and soggy bread, gras, a bit medicinal, something a touch sour, a little trashy. Flavor is a mix of gross grass, some weird sourness, cheap sugar, corn starch. Not good.

Pale golden color with white head, short duration. Aroma is light maltiness and corn. Flavor is citrusy. Watery final.

It’s an utterly boring but totally inoffensive lager. Really nothing else to say other than that I’ve drunk worse.

Appearance is amber with a small, quickly-disappearing head. Aroma- corn, cardboard, cereal, yeast. Taste is pretty much the same. Memorable bottle, standard lager.
