First and Farmhouse is a wild ale brewed with pilsner malt, and loads of malted spelt, flaked oats and flaked triticale. Jarrylo & Calypso hops added in the whirlpool lend fruity aromas of pear and apple. Fermented with a Farmhouse ale strain and aged in freshly emptied chardonnay barrels from our friends at Napa Cellars Winery, it was left to cellar in the barrels with Brettanomyces Lambicus for more than 18 months.

750 ml bottle. Number one with a bullet. Hazy honey gold pour. Small creamy beige head. Sharp fruity vinous malt aroma. Notes of yeast, apple and white grape. First sip has notes of oak, Bretty funk, crisp malt and light citrus. The sour factor is moderate. Complex and tangy with dryish notes in middle. Sticky sour apple finish.
