Kaldi Dökkur er annar bjórinn sem Bruggsmiðjan setti á markað. Þessi dökki Pilsner er rafbrúnn á lit með mikilli fyllingu, ristuðu malti og karamellu keim. Kaldi dökkur á sér afar tryggan kúnnahóp sem stækkar meir og meir. Í dökkan kalda notum við fjórar tegundir af byggi (Pilsen, Munich, Caramel og colour) og þrjár tegundir af humlum (hop extract, Sladek, Saaz). Gerjunartíminn er 4 vikur)

On tap at Olstofa in Akureyri. Pours a muddy amber brown with lots of creamy, lacing, off white head. Nose has mild grist, some nuts, some brown sugar, some caramel. Flavor is sweet with toffee and caramel, some mild bread, yeast, a little date. Finishes sweet. Not a bad Tmavy.

33cl bottle from Vinbu?in, Borganes. Pours dark caramel coloured with an off-white head. Malty aroma with caramel, notes of bread and just a hint of herbs. Medium beige head. Clear deep dark red body. Earthy spicy syrupy aroma with toasted sugar notes. Dryish spicy perfumy licorice taste with mealy notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, mealy mouthfeel. Dryish mealy spicy roasted sugar aftertaste with caramelly notes. Decent, easy to drink, not that special. (0.5l draft at 73, Reykjavik.)
