From old tasting notes. Brilliant orange gold color with beautiful small bubbles leading to a medium creamy tan head. Sweet toasted malt and dry hop aroma. Rich toasted malt foretaste with excellent hop balance. Light sweet malt finish is pleasingly complex and dry. Noticeable alcohol.

Corked and caged 750ml bottle (Saveur)
Clear amber color, steady white head, lace. Light aroma of fruit candy. Light to medium-bodied. Quite thin palate for this palate. Rosee wine with caramel and pear. Less alcoholic feeling than in the blonde version. Quite plain, perharps ideal with food.

75 cl bottle from a supermarket in Paris. Slightly strong tasting, fruity, with noticeable alcohol, and much sweeter than any beer of this type I have tried. Alcohol and hops can’t balance it out. Not perfect, a touch too much on the sweet side for me, but a nice beer. I read that this is a bottom fermented beer, and it does taste a bit like a bock, with its rich malt. The label says it is top fermented, though. Nice enough, though there are better.

Bottle, 75cl corked, courtesy of MiP. Under a small, off-white head there’s a clear, golden body. The nose and aroma are pretty much the same, with the aroma a bit too much on the citrusy side. Sweet, pale malts and some spices blends quite pleasantly with fruityness. Effervescent, dry and medium to full body. An easy drinkable beer that I could probably drink all night. 090821
