Demi Mondaine - Calvados BA

330ml bottle. Jet black colour with smal to average, frothy to creamy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, brown head. Roasty, chocolately, dark malty and minimally caramel malty aroma with weak BA support, notes of cocoa, dark chocolate, couverture, some calvados, submerged hints of coffee. Taste is BA supported, slightly bitter alcoholic and bitter roasty, dark malty, chocolately and caramel malty, initially alcoholic notes of calvados, dark chocolate, some alcoholic and roasty bitterness, middle part with wonderful, deep coffee flavours, notes of freshly roasted coffee beens, mocha, sugared espresso, weak ashy overtones; return of the calvados in the last third with some caramel sweetness, a fruity touch of apple, decrease of coffee flavours, minimally warming, alcoholic finish.
Dissolved sugar enriched, watery texture, smooth and soft, minimally cloying palate, medium to fine, mildly prickly carbonation.
Slightly disharmonious prelude, excellent middle part (the coffee flavours do it), compromise finish; neither overly complex or intense nor subtle - pretty decent overall.

Draught@TCBW2023. Black colour, small beigeish brown head. Aroma is liquorice, toffee, some roasted tones with mild apple sweetish tartness as well as some chocolate and mild alcohol. Flavour is quite similar to the elements of the aroma, nice tartish edge from the sweetish tart apple tones.

Black with dark cream head. Interesting mix of fruity sweetness and roasted malt bitterness. Hint of wood. Very fragrant.

Magus, mõru, šokolaad, röst, vaadine, nats hapukas. Ok.

Sample at TCBW 2023 Opaque colour, steady brownish head. Light sweetish nose. Medium-bodied. Sweet apple flavours. Balanced.

A small taste on tap @ TCBW 2023. Pours very dark brown with a low head. Aroma is sweet roasted malts with some apple. Flavor is sweet roasted malts, some apple, alcohol, hops. Tasty.

Sweet, sugary, alcohol, barrel
