Een ode aan baron Hendrik Hop, de grondlegger van het Haagsche Hopje. Het bier is geïnspireerd op de ingrediënten van dit snoepje. De Baron is een donker bier gebrouwen met in Den Haag gebrande koffie van Roast Factory. Het bier heeft een lichtzoete smaak van karamel en een volle afdronk.
Maar let op, verwacht geen vloeibaar snoepgoed, we willen natuurlijk wel dat het blijft smaken naar bier!

Bottle at Café Franklin. Dark brown with thin short lived head. Dark roasted malts, deep roast ground coffee, quite a (Belgian) yeasty imprint. Light sweet and moderate bitter. Thin body, low carbonation. The coffee is fresh and nice, otherwise not really excited about this.

Bottle shared at Gekke Geit. Brown with a small tan head. Aroma of malt, overripe dark fruits, light veggies, herbs and caramel. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Bottle at Gekke Geit. Dark brown with small beige head. Sweet caramel, brown sugar, light coffee, veggies, soft herbs. Light bread too. Quite sweet and light bitter. Medium bodied with slick feel and low carbonation.
