Draught @ Olutravintola Konttori. Rated on 21.04.2011
Aroma has some fruity hops, bready malt and hints of vegetables. Flavour is quite the same with bready malt, some fruity hops and vegetables. This should have more hops and less bready malt. And lack the vegetable aromas, of course.
Later I had a bottle of this. It was quite the same, but vegetable notes were even lighter.

Sharp smell of hops. Copper colour, a bit hazy. Beige, somewhat foamy head. Aroma of hops, medium bitter, slightly sour. A hint of rubber aroma which disappears with temperature. Either this is one of the best IPAs there are, or I’m starting to like IPA in general. Regardless of how good this is, I’ll bet on the latter option.

A copperbrown beer with a medium and blond head. Aroma is fresh and nice, citrusfruits, also some tropical fruits, nuts and balancing fruitfull sweetness, overally, aroma is so nice that it should be more intensive. Taste is nutty, quite dry, wooden hoppyness, some aromatic nuancees. Medium bodied, lots of carbonation, but it’s smooth. This beer is too mild for as IPA. Easily to approach, brittish style, dry and nutty beer.

(Bottle, Bishop’s Arms Folkungagatan, Stockholm, 8 July 2011) Dark amber colour with frothy, beige head. Fruity, malty nose with caramel, toffee, orange peel and apricots. Malty, fruity taste with notes of caramel, orange peel, apricots and generous amounts of earthy hops in the finish. The bitterness isn’t really that direct and in-your-face, but it sneaks up on you and is quite impressive. More than medium body, with balanced sweetness. Nice one.
