Our classic bourbon barrel-aged Parabola infused with heirloom Ethiopia Misty Valley coffee beans, freshly roasted by our friends and neighbors at Spearhead Coffee. Parabola's notoriously dark, roasted, bourbon-barrel character is perfectly accentuated by the Misty Valley coffee's distinctive blueberry and milk chocolate notes.

Draft at Snallygaster 2017. Poured a pitch black, almost velvet black color with a nice, small tan head. Aroma was strong roasted notes, dark bakers chocolate and coffee. Flavor was really smooth for being 15% - actually was shocked that I liked it, especially when it was 85 degrees without a single cloud in the sky. Flavor was really nice, rich chocolate, roasted notes. Java.

Enjoyed on draft at Pine Box, Seattle, with Matt. From notes. I believe this was left over from their anniversary party. All I know is that I was both surprised and happy to run into it. Hoping for this beer to be super smooth, it wasn’t quite. Very boozy all together for me. A ton of chocolate and straight bourbon on the nose. Chocolate, vanilla, caramel, and sweet, boozy bourbon flavor. An absolute sipper for me to say the least. If bourbon is your go to, this is incredible. I can’t complain too much. It’s exactly what they say it is. Coffee and chocolate, soft linger that actually outlasts the bourbon a bit. Flavorful for sure. Good qualities here.

Sample at MBCC 2017. Black with a small tan head. Sweetish with dark chocolate, coffee, roasted malt and some bourbon. The body was full and the finish was long. A very nice one to sip.
