Originally an experimental "Outlaw" beer, subsequently became a regular brew. Pale coloured beer. Golden Promise malt and New Zealand and US hops. Amazing aromas closely mirror those of the Sauvignon grape. Moderately bittered. Long finish

Cask. Pours a golden colour, with a foamy white head. Aromas of lemons and other citrus fruits, which also come through in the taste. Decent amount of malt and some hops detectable.

Cask (Bridge Tavern, Newcastle) - Golden in colour. Peach and grapefruit in the aroma. Hoppy and fruity taste with grapefruit, peach and biscuity malt detected.

Cask @ Old Gate, Hebden Bridge. Golden with a creamy head and maybe just short of medium bodied, however it has a lovely smooth feel to it in the palate. Has a malty aroma, but fairly neutral in taste.

Cask at the York Tap. Pours clear pale gold with a thin white head & lacing. Light tropical fruit aromas, light dusty malt. Taste has a good bitterness and a chalky bite. Clean finish. Decent.

Cask handpull at the bell and bear. Aroma is spicy hop,grainy straw malts. Light copper golden coloured pour with a dense white head. Flavour is spicy hop some veg broth and dusty grain. Hops are not good in this one.

Cask at the Sussex Arms, Twickenham Green, 15/11/13. Lightly hazed golden with a good sized white head formed of bubbles. Nose is bitter orange, lemon sherbet, touch of mango, grassy, light hop presence. Taste comprises light pine, earthy hops, orange pith, mandarin, touch of grapefruit. Medium bodied ,soft carbonation, grassy hop bitterness in the finish. Solid hoppy blonde affair as one comes to expect from Roosters.

Medium beige creamy head. Clear coppery body. Light floral caramelly aroma with fruity notes. Dry-sweet resiny dusty strawy taste with caramelly notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft, flat mouthfeel. Dry resiny caramelly aftertaste is slightly watery. It’s good, but not their best. (0.284l cask at The Little Angel, Whitby.)

Cask @ The Golden Rule, Edinburgh [140713]
Golden clear, white head, good lacing
Aroma - soft grassy hops, soft cereal pale malts, slight gooseberry
Taste of soft grassy hops, touch of peanut shell which i’m not keen on, touch of citrus zest, light sweet pale malts
Palate - Light body, bit oily. Finish has that grassy hops and grassy peanut pod flavour, clean finish, not too bitter, slightly dry
Overall - OK- it’s well made but the flavour profile just wasn’t my cup of tea
