On tap at the brewpub. It's an almost black one, with a reddish hue. A small dense beige head forms on top, leaving some curtains. The aroma is roasted and lightly burnt, with hints of dried fruits and dark rye bread. It's medium bodied and nicely carbonated, quite dry, with a bit sweetness too. Roasted malts, dried fruits and hints of bread dough. Caramel and a decent bitterness too. Quite nice initially this one, but it turns almost cloying and sickingly toward the finish. 190607

Nydalen 070619. Dark brown/Black color with a beige head. Aroma is roasted malt coffee. Flavor is caramel, roasted malt, coffee, malt, hop. Ordinary beer.

250ml draught at the brewpub. Shared with Finn. Almost black in the glass, firm beige head, good lacing. Moderate roasted dark malts on the nose. Black malty flavours, well roasted. Hints of dark fruits towards the ending. Medium bodied. Likable. (Nydalen, Oslo 03.12.2018).
