Cask at the Hobgobin, Reading. Tar coloured with a thin tan head; earthy aroma; sweet fruity malt flavours with some coffee; good sustained bitterness and a spicy and warming finish. An excellent mild.

Cask gravity at SIBA BF, Paddock Wood. Very very dark brown. Thin beige head. Lovely toasty aroma. Excellent dark mild, hint of dark fruits. Some roasted malts, lots of choc, some coffee. Very full in mouth. Enormously pleasing on the swallow. Excellent dark mild. Even a bit of tar.

Bottle. Smokey cocoa and cola aroma. Dark brown color with giant tan head. Tart/lightly astringent smokey chocolate/toffee malt flavor. Nice full body plus really enoy the smokiness.

On gravity at the London Drinker festival 12/3/08. Near black with a decent tan head that left plenty of lacing. Big aromas of roasted malt, black fruit and dark chocolate. Full in the mouth with plenty of milk chocolate and fruit flavours, before some earthy hops and a dent bitter finish. Excellent.

Cask-A very good example of a mild in my opinion. A fairly nice roasted malt aroma along with a bittersweet taste with a very mild and subtle hop flavour.
