Cask at the Bootlegger, 11/12/16. Reddish amber with a well appointed light cream cap that retains well. Nose is sweet malts, light pine, spice, toffee, fruit esters. Taste comprises toasted bread, candied orange peel, straw, light perfume, biscuit, pine flicker, caramel. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close with an earthy hop linger. Solid flavoursome cask offering ... more akin to a hoppy amber than a bitter for me.

Cask at GBBF 2009. Beer 100 of the festival and when I could safely stop rating and enjoy myself. Gold, yes, some hop, a beer that is a tribute to the De Havilland Mosquito, the first model plane I made as a boy and still my favourite. Dullish golden beer, but with more hop than usual. Good stinging dry finish.
