One-third pint handpulled at Bar Nouveau, GBBF 09. Clear golden body, naked surface. Discreet smell of marmalade. Dried fruity taste with apricot coming through mixed with fresh citric fruits added by some malty sweetness beneath. Dry hopped ending. Refreshing, without any greater excitements (London, 05.08.2009).

(Cask at Everyman Bistro, Liverpool, 20 July 2009) Golden colour with creamy, white head. Fruity nose with notes of citrus, peaches and a touch of dusty hops. Fruity taste with citrus, apricots, biscuits and a fairly mild bitterness with dusty hops. Rather light body. A decent and drinkable golden ale.

Cask (Gravity) at Charlbury Beer festival 04-07-09 Was called Blue Monkey Gold but understand this to be the same beer. Pours gold no head, pretty good clarity. There is a fuzzy furry bitterness that clings to the roof of the mouth which I rather like. Some honey sweetness, citrus and biscuit show. its drying at the end. A7 A4 F7 P4 Ov14 3.6

Cask-conditioned at the Bag ONails, Bristol 2/05/09. Deep gold with a slight, off-white head. Sweetish aroma with some apricot and fruity hops. Flavour of digestive biscuits, with a hint of citrus hops and short bitter finish. Ok.
