At the source: pours light gold with a white head. Aroma is fruit and coriander. Taste is somewhat sweet with candy and spice at the end. Kind of dry and bitter finish. Well made.

Draft at the brewpub. Pours a hazy golden color with lots of visible carbonation. Medium sized fizzy white head. Good head retention. Aroma of candi sugar, bread, spice, stone fruits, herbal hops. The taste is tart citrus, cherries, stone fruits, bread, spice. Medium bodied, slight heat but fairly drinkable.

Sample from a 2000 bottle during the Armageddon tasting at Ale Wine & Spirits in Powell on 12/20/2012. Cloudy orange pour with a minimal white head that disappears quickly. Sparse spots of lacing on the glass. Yeast and fruit in the nose. Full-bodied and somewhat flat with flavors of caramel, yeast and earthy malt. The finish is fruity with a yeast aftertaste. Decent overall.

Medium yellow body with a thin head. Big juicy malt aroma. The flavor is sweet overall and a bit one dimensional.

Bottled - too bad it wasn’t a partyfass. A hazy golden beer with a lazing beie head. The aroma has notes of over ripe fruits, malt, alcohol, and some medicin. The flavor is very sweet with strong notes of fruit leaning on being over ripe as well as notes of wood, and malt, leading to a dry finish. Thanks MadsBerg for opening it and Papso for sharing.

Bottle 75 cl. Pours a clear deep golden with a small white head. Sweet oxidized fruity aroma. Solid body, sweet overripe fruit, again somewhat oxidized but never unpleasant. Vague yeasty nose and a whiff of phenols but hardly any bitternes. Old but aged with grace. 231109
