@Pilsner Petes East Coast Gathering-5L keg–pours a white head with some lacing and hazy yellow color. Aroma is yeast, light fruit, light malt, honey. Taste is yeast, light fruit, light malt, honey, secondary herbal hops. OK effervescence. Thanks beastiefan2k for sharing.

Who the hell puts a tripel in a 5L mini keg? - it’s like serving a martini in a yard glass - I think the mini keg must be some kind of cruel joke, because this beer was not all that good - sweet honey and strong herbs throughout, with some light vanilla and mango - everything was just kind of muddled and blah - maybe the brewers knew this - maybe their reasoning was, "we can unload this crap fast if we sell it in mini kegs; by the time they realize it’s crappy, it’ll be too late; they’ll be stuck with 4.9 liters of mediocre beer" - the scene ends in a fade out, with the brewers laughing maniacally while slowly clasping and unclasping their hands.

OTH tasting 09/06/08 courtesy of Nelson. Pours very hazy yellow gold orange with white head. The aroma is banana, tart notes, fruity esters and hints of bubble gum. The taste seems to blend both grainy malts and banana together to go along with fruity esters, more banana and some mild bubble gum. Very nice. It is smooth and blended without any disruptive bright notes that seems to be common for many in this style.

On tap at the CBW, it was called Millennium Trippel today. Very little aroma, just clean and crisp. Seems to have a very mild scent of fruit or belgian wit charactar in the smell. Beige yellowish hazy appearnce. Taste is mellow first with tons of belgy wit flavors and spices in the taste. Hides the 9% really well. Not much, if any bitterness here. Again, very witlike. Cannot believe there is 9% in this brew. Well mannered and friendly. Some fine carbonation but could use more. This is one of the few domestic U.S. belgian trippels that really live up to the style. Very well done and I’m impressed. Not offensive in any way. Very pleased and leaves a fine non-offensive linger on the palate. Compared to other uncivilized U.S. trippels I’ve had, this is miles ahead and more like a real belgie for a change.

Sampled from a 5 liter keg can this beer poured a cloudy bright golden color with a medium sized soapy tan head. The aroma is sweet and yeasty with a noticeable table sugar element. The flavor is moderately sweet and sugary with golden fruits, banana and clove and a hint of a spicy undertone. The finish is a bit medicinal. Decent.
