Many Mexican beer styles today are descendants of old Austrian styles, from when Austria ruled Mexico in the late 19th century. Our Dos Perros is made with German Munich malt, English Pale malt, and Chocolate malt, and hopped with Perle and Saaz hops. To lighten the body, as many Mexican brewers do, we add a small portion of flaked maize. The result is a wonderfully bready malt aroma, balanced with some maize sweetness and a noble hop finish.

Sample at Flying Saucer in Nashville. Pours a clear dark amber color with a medium thin light beige head that diminishes to a film steadily. Patchy lacing. Malty aroma with caramel and spice notes. Medium body with a malty character that has caramel and earth flavors. Slight hops presence as well. The finish is malty and short. Just average overall.

12 ounce bottle from The Libation Station in Johnson City, TN. Pours a dark brown color with a thin tan head. Fair head retention and decent lacing. Aroma of earthy, citrus hops, caramel, nuts and chocolate. Taste is.... HA!!!!! I opened the wrong bottle! No matter I’m wondering how the hell this is an APA. OK... copying this over to the RIGHT beer. Which is this one you’re looking at here. OK, so my aroma and appearance notes are already above. The taste is tart stone fruit and berry notes along with some nutty notes and a faint chocolate note. Medium bodied. Decent beer, though the tartness in the taste seems a tad bit not right.

Bottle thanks to one of my former roomates. Pours with an off-white head and deep brown body. Aroma of raisin, caramel, leather, chocolate. Taste is wheat, nutty, dry, caramel. Lively bubbles, dry finish

Bottle 12fl.oz.Clear medium amber color with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, fruity - berry. 12 fl oz bottle. Pours clear and golden deep amber with a small tan head. Aroma is mild phenolic and roasted caramelish. Fruity, light caramelish and hoppy. Fruity flavoured into a mild bitter finish.

on tap-pours a thin white head and copper color. Aroma is medium/dark malt-chocolate/licorice, hint of spice hops. Taste is medium malt-chocolate/licorice, nutty, secondary copper/spice hops. Light/medium body.

I had quite a few of these in bottle and on tap at various establishments in Nashville. Deep brown body, thin cream head. Toasty nose with notes of chocolate and caramel. Bitter, toasty body, leathery, with leafy hops and caramely malts. Enjoyable everyday drinking beer.

Courtesy of Quake1028. Pours brownish with tan head. The aroma has lots of malts with caramel mixed with lightly roasted malts, some chocolate malts and also faint dark fruity esters. The flavor has an array of mild malt notes mixed with faint dark fruit, a bit of earthiness and faint floral hops. Nice.
