An abundance of roasted malts and flaked barley create a rich, roasty stout with deeply intense, lush flavors. Layered, nuanced tones invite intrigue and reward a curious palate.

22 ounce bottle into snifter, bottled on 12/26/2012. Pours fairly pitch black color with a 1-2 finger dense and fluffy khaki head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of dark chocolate, roasted malt, cocoa, coffee, toast, toffee, molasses, light char, light raisin, and roasted earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/roasted malt notes; with good strength. Taste of big dark chocolate, roasted malt, cocoa, coffee, char, toast, toffee, molasses, light smoke, light raisin, and roasted earthiness. Good amount of roasted bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of dark chocolate, roasted malt, coffee, cocoa, char, toast, toffee, light smoke, and roasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Damn nice complexity and balance of dark/roasted malt flavors; with a nice sweetness/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and fairly full bodied; with a very creamy, slick, and lightly chalky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a small warming present after the finish. Overall this is an excellent imperial stout. All around great complexity and balance of dark/roasted malt flavors; and very smooth to sip on for the ABV. A very enjoyable offering.

22 oz. bottle, pours near-black with an amber tinge and a small tan head. Aroma of deep dark fruits, roasted malt and some wood. Flavour brings out roasted malt, deep dark fruits, and some wood. Very soft on the palate, with a deep dark fruit and soft roasted malt on the finish. Great stuff.

Bomber shared by Dallas, thanks as always. Pours a very dark brown color with a medium white head. An odd very sweet and almost buttery nose, some roast and dark fruit. A rich flavor of roast, molasses, something very sweet akin to candied fruit, a slick palate. Not sure why but I didn’t love this, it was fine though.
