A beer whose wort is mixed with real grapefruit puree to allow the sugar to ferment out, leaving the tropical aromas behind. This beer is a real crowd-pleaser. It’s perfect for any moment or meal, thanks to its bold grapefruit flavour, tart character and light hoppiness.

Strong fruity nose. Hazy pale amber colour, huge frothy macropore off-white head, good retention, patchy lacing. aroma pale malt, orange, grapefruit, yeast. Taste light sweet and bitter, malty backbone, grapefruit, orange peel, some yeast. Dry malty bittersweet aftertaste, more orange pith. Light body, oily texture, lively carbonation, tastewise a bit coarse impression, okay.

Dunnetjes. Hoog spa rood gehalte. De smaak die er is, is prima.

Explosive build-up of pinkish foam, if contained to the glass, pretty stable too. Little beer underneath looks foxy orange, bit muddy, lively carbonated. Faint, if attractive perfumey nose. Grapefruit, but also rosehips. Bit like fruited waterice. Bitter, grapefruit/peel, walnutpeel, dandelion. Fruity, but almost totally without sweetness or acidity. Light body, spritzy. Just a bit slick, some refreshing qualities. Like this one. Difficult to explain why. Crowd pleaser? - maybe that's it.

Bottle at Firkin Alehouse Folkestone. Hazy amber colour lasting white head. Belgian ester aroma. Some hop. Better in the mouth. Some hop some bitterness. Some grapefruit. Lots of carbonation. Settles down. It's OK. A decent apa. It's fine.c

Hazy amber with a coarse off-white head. Grapefruit aroma with some maltiness and some yeast. Also a little perfumy in aroma which is what I don't tend to like in my IPA's. Bitter taste and finish. Decent.
