Draft sample at Dominion Wine & Beer, thanks Alex! Clear golden amber with off-white head. Aromas of citrus, stone fruit, malt, light floral. Tastes of citrus, floral notes, malt, citrus peel. Medium body with a dry finish.

Bottle from Kroger. Pours clear golden with only a dusting of a head. Aroma of orange, tomato sauce with onions - almost reminds me of the good ol’ Cleveland style pizza bagels - kinda strange for a beer. Flavor is minor citrus, minor pine, heavy bread, cardboard, light oregano (perhaps it’s that tomato sauce thing), grapefruit peel, and a tropical fruit finish. Strange... interesting too.

Shared 12 oz. bottle. Pale amber with an off-white head. Aroma of mild fruit and malt. Taste is caramel, malt, mild fruitiness, and hints of pine with malt at the forefront. Good.

On tap at St. Augustine’s. Pours a slightly hazy golden with a huge white cream head. Aroma is sweety, with tropical fruits and caramel. Very pleasant. Taste is similar to smell, very smooth. Tropical fruits sophisticated bitterness aftertaste. Very pleasant beer.

12oz bottle pours amber topped with a nice head. nose is pine citrus hops a bread malt. taste is more of the nice hop character along with a well balanced malt bill.

12 ounce bottle. Amber orange pour. Large creamy beige head with noticeable lacing. Rich malty aroma has earthy caramel notes. Flavor has notes of caramel malt and citrus hops. A wonderful balance of malt and hops. Sweet and spicy. Peppery hops finish this nicely.

Bottle from Brewcraft at home. Clear dark orange-amber pour with foamy head. Aroma is sweet red malt with some spicy notes, subtle but definitely present pine hops. Nice. Sort of like a malty Sierra Nevada pale ale smell, and smoother. Taste is similar, pine bitterness, bready malt, some lingering tingly bitterness. Really smooth palate. Not bad at all but wouldn't get again - just not my favorite.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, best before 3/4/2016. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy deep orange/copper color with a 2 finger dense and rocky off white head with incredible retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Dense soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, lemon zest, orange peel, pine, caramel, brown sugar, toasted biscuit, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of juicy citrus/pine hops and dark/bready malt notes; with good strength. Taste of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, lemon zest, orange peel, pine, caramel, brown sugar, toasted biscuit, and floral/grassy earthiness. Moderate pine/citrus rind bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, lemon/orange peel, pine, caramel, brown sugar, toasted biscuit, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of juicy citrus/pine hops and dark/bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light-moderate dryness from bitterness that increases through the glass. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth and moderately creamy/bready/sticky balanced mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is an outstanding pale ale! All around awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of juicy citrus/pine hops and dark/bready malt flavors; and very smooth and easy to drink. A highly enjoyable offering.
