Bomber pours hazy brown with copper hued edges and tall blossoming tan head. The aroma has some malts, some roasted malts and thin levels of sweet dark fruity esters and a hint or two of earthiness hovering around at a distance. The taste is similar with malts and roasted malts and then sliding into prunes, figs and smooth sweet molasses covered cherries. This has a pleasing increase in damp malt earthiness into the finish. It is a shame the yeast create a bit too much of a champagne like appearance and mouth feel.

Bottle, 22oz. It’s a clear, dark golden beer with some microfloaties and a creamy beige head. Citrusy nose with malts to give it balance. The citrus is more like orange peel than fruit. Sweetish, citrusy flavor with a decent bitterness. Full-bodied and nicely carbonated. Pleasant bitterness in the finish. A quite decent beer, but not very interesting. 090821
