650ml bottle from Utobeer, thanks to Tom for buying this with me. Hops hit you as you pour it. Hazy orange gold. Lasting thin white head. Piney resiny aroma. I rather like the aroma. It doesn’t have some of the syrupy malts of some of the double IPAs. Malts are there but are a little understated. It’s decent and solid. Not overwhelming. Not showy or blow your socks off, but decent and has some good balance. Touch of heat on finish. Hops are good, but the rest lacks a little.

Cloudy orange with a small off-white head. Intensely hoppy aroma of peach and pine. Very sweet with juicy hop flavour, but not enough bitterness to balance

Pint bottle, Beer Ritz, Leeds. Oh my what a resolutely uncool label. Never judge a book by etc though, and this is definitely a winner in all the other departments. Poured a hazy shade of orange with a beige head that was on the small side. Big plump, resinous hop aroma and flavour with healthy amounts of caramel malt and juicy fruit in there for good measure. Pretty straightforward stuff, but hot damn it works. Abv is nicely masked. A pleasure to drink.

Location: 22 oz bottle from Total Wine in Richmond, 7/9/09
Aroma: Strong hoppy nose, floral and citrus/grapefruit
Appearance: Pours a really nice looking orange-amber color, about an inch and a half of creamy white head, lots of lacing
Flavor: Nice hoppy flavor here, good mix of the hops, little bit of sweet caramel malts for balance, tasty
Palate: Nice full bodied beer, crisp and enjoyable, relatively long finish
Overall Impression: I thought this was a really nice example of a style I love. It has a good mix of tasty hops, strong bitterness and flavor that I hope for from this style. Not a lot of complaints here, a really nice beer.

Bottle 65 cl. Slightly hazy amber golden with an off-white head. Intense and fat hop aroma with some overripe fruit. Quite full-bodied, sweetish caramellish malt and a pretty solid malty feel. Again some overripe fruit. Perfumy hops in the finish med a surprisingly discreet bitterness. 290509

22 ounce bottle from Whole Foods Arlington, VA. Pour hazy amber with a large head. Excellent head retention and lacing. Very strong hoppy aroma with lots of resin and citrus notes and a toffee finish. Taste is toffee and loads of hops, particularly tropical citrus notes and a bitter resiny finish. Sticky texture and full bodied. Very nice beer.

From bottle, blind #24. Pours cloudy dark orange with a small off-white head. Distinct pine wood hoppy aroma. Bitter and mild fruity flavoured. Distinct wooden hops touch with a light grapefruity touch. Bitter and dry finish. Holds a lasting pinewood hops flavor into the far finish.
