Draught at Callister, Vancouver
Hazy amber color. Mild hop resins aroma, also some yeast, footy. The body is robust, the sweetness is very moderate, dark caramel flavor, harsh hop resins, some chicory bitterness (this could as well be from the spruce tips), a bit dirty with the yeast, some astringency, and some alcohol burn in the finish.
Harsh and clumsy, not a disaster for a first try, but needing huge improvements here.
