Made with Estate honey collected during the 2013 harvest, this Mead Royale combines the flavours of the season as created by our bees with some added complexity from barrel ageing. Typical mead aromas of flowers and honey leap out of the glass, along with hints of peach, orange peel and mint leaf. The rich palate has similar characters, as well as vanilla bean and caramel flavours which speak to its six months spent in French oak barrels. This viscous and creamy honey wine finishes semi-sweet with mouth-watering freshness and length

Pale yellow color. I just had the Grand Reserve Ambrosia an this one seems more vulgar; aroma: some honey, flowers, fresh wood (ash). Semi-sweet and lean mouthfeel, with some flavor of fresh wood. Not unpleasant, but rather simple.
