Cloudy amber beer. Zero carbonation. Smells like an aged beer and to a degree tastes like it as well. Flat wheaty malt that completely lacks any zingor sparkle and quickly becomes boring.

Bottle 33cl.Light unclear medium orange amber color with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, fruity, prune, light to moderate hoppy, orange, moderate yeasty, barnyard and cheese notes, alcohol. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long to average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light alcoholic. [20090803]

Bottled. Amber colour, small beige head. Aroma is fruits, wood, some mild herbal notes as well as slight nuttyness. Flavour is fruity, a bit nutty and also has some slight yeasty notes as well. Quite nicely balanced.

Bottled (at ChrisOโ€™s BB 09/2013).
Orange color, not much head. Fruity apricot aroma. Very fruity, peach and apricot, yeast. Quite sweet, not showing much of alcohol. This feels more like Belgian Strong Ale than Barley wine.

Bottle from Pigโ€™s Ear Festival 2008
Hazy dak amber color; no matter what I try, there is no head whatsoever. Light Parmesan aroma? Medium body; malty flavor, some good caramel, with a subtle smokey touch, the required sweetness, light toffee, a peculiar cheesy touch (did I say Parmesan?); the alcohol is well hidden. Correct bitterness. Very good, and interesting.
