Black color; no carbonation. Aroma of roasted malt, clearly oxidised, but not without interest. It still has a good body structure, during the years only part of the sugars have been fermented, and there is a tickling alcohol feeling; dark caramel flavor, roasted nuts; the bitterness is low, just some from the roasted malts. In the final there is still some oxidisation that shows up. I would say that it probably aged faster than other beers, showing signs that I found elsewhere in beers with 20+ years under the belt.
I’m happy anyway to finally try a beer from this long gone Swiss brewery.
