Pours a black color with a brown head. Roasty and malty aroma. Smooth and light, but still full flavor with plenty of malty roastiness.

Bottled. A red beer with a lazing off-white head. The aroma has notes of malt, fruits, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of matl and caramel. Thanks yespr for sharing.

50 cL bottle. Pours dark malty and slight roasted malty. Roasted malty and sweet caramelish. Light bitter, roasted and malty. Lingering dark malty and roasted caramelish. Light bitter and medium dry finish.

Bottle 50cl.Clear medium red brown color with a large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, coffee, light soapy. Flavor is light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long to average duration, dusty. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20091004]

Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Pours a clear orangey brown with a fine beige head. Roasted almost coffeeish - aroma. Medium body, sweet rosted malts and some dark chocolate. Surprisingly no real bitterness. 041009

The bottle looks good but very similar to all the other Schmucker bottles. Looks really fine in the glass, nice head. Starts very mild, only modest malty. The finish is a little bit fruity, notes of plum.Not bad, but could be maltier!

50cl bottle. Pours dark brown with a small creamy head & lacings. Nose is roasted, caramel & sugar/butter. Medium bodied. Pleasant bitter roast. On the sweet side. Drinkable/pleasant!
